Hot Air Balloon- How it works

This human tendency to fly ultimately led to the invention of the hot air balloon. Two Frenchmen, the Montgolfier Brothers; who lived in Paris during the 1700’s, first invented the hot air balloon. Till then there has been much improvement in the field of the hot air balloon. The hot air balloon is based on the basic idea: warmer air rises in cooler air. A balloon full of hot air rises up into the sky. Now hot air balloon ride has become a good adventure around the world. How hot air balloon works As I have already mentioned that the hot air balloon is based on the concept that the hot air weighs less than cold air. A large balloon is filled with air that is further heated to cause the balloon to lift. Thus, the hot air balloon works by heating up the air in the parachute valve. Essentially, hot air is lighter than cool air, because it has less mass per unit of volume. So, the balloon full of hot air becomes lighter than the air around it. There are three essential things in a hot air balloon: a parachute valve, a burner and a basket. The parachute valve contains the air to be heated, the burner heats up the air and the basket carries the passengers. The wind mainly guides a hot air balloon, though the skilled ballooners are often able to successfully direct the hot air balloon. Unlike the direction, the height of a hot air balloon can be easily managed by letting go hot air or changing the power of the flame. The hot air balloon has undergone significant evolution. After the Montgolfier Brothers, the significant development to hot air balloon was done by Ed Yosk. In 1960, Ed Yost revived the Montgolfiers’ old design, updating it with plastic lining and a kerosene burner. He developed the high-altitude weather balloons. Yosk made performed some record-breaking feats including a successful crossing of the English Channel. Now the hot air balloon use propane burners and rip-stop nylon. It has never been safer to ride a hot air balloon than now. There is a wide range of sizes in the hot air balloon. Their sizes actually depend on their purposes. A small hot air balloon, which is usually a balloon with less than 30,000 cubic feet (9,144 cubic meters) of air space inside, is suitable for a single traveler. A hot air balloon, which has around 100,000 cubic feet (30,480 cubic meters) of space inside, can hold two or three travelers and a pilot. It is the most popular type of hot air balloon. But there are also some vast hot air balloons, which usually have over a balloon with less than 30,000 cubic feet (9,144 cubic meters) of air space inside. These balloons are mainly planned for a group of over ten people. Hot Air Balloon is used for many purposes including the advertisement, adventures etc. Hot Air Balloon adventure is very popular in many parts of the world. Thus, a hot air balloon that assists human flight in the air provides excellent aerial adventure. If you want, you can also float above the earth in a hot air balloon. Moreover, a hot air balloon ride can make a memorable gift.
