Animation

Animation is a technique of making inanimate objects or drawings appear to move in motion pictures. A collection of static images joined together and by animation they are shown consecutively so that they appear to move.

Although the most important raw material in creating animation is the imagination of the animator, a number of supplies are necessary to bring that imagination to life. Sometimes these items are purchased; sometimes they are constructed by the animator. The drawings are executed on cells, drawing paper, or on film.
